2nd of 10 Ways to Help Remedy Anxiety

Let’s Remember: Anxiety is a ball of various emotions. Name those emotions and count them out! Don’t just say I’m anxious. Say I’m nervous, I’m scared, I’m worried, I’m angry, and always focus on why.


2. Tipsy or High Much?  AVOID DRUGS & ALCOHOL

Do you want to forget or work through and live a sound and prosperous life? Drinking alcohol and drug-use/abuse doesn’t solve anything and it deters your mind from focusing on what’s important. Alcohol and drugs increase your anxiety due to the lack of coping with those specific one-word emotions and why they are present, I mentioned in the previous post.

Drinking and drug-use has a negative effect on the brain, whether you are drinking, smoking, or shooting up a little or a lot. The neurotransmitters within the brain become less and less effective.


Over time, alcohol and drug-use interferes with your body’s natural ability to relax for sleep and natural ability to focus.


Remember to take baby steps and as you decrease drinking and/or drug-use, you may experience increased anxiety but that is due to the replacement and transition from bad to good habits. You are beginning to live a life without depending on alcohol and/or drugs. So it will get better with time and a positive circle.


Matthew 6:25-34 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
